Ultra Tendency is 100% responsible for the overall architecture, implementation and testing of SPACE.
The European Central Bank (ECB) collects and manages massive amounts of heterogenous data and statistics to support its institutional functions and tasks (e.g. currency policy, oversight function, tasks of the eurosystem). The former 25-year-old legacy platform will be replaced by SPACE (Statistical Production and Compilation Environment).
SPACE is the basis of the ECB’s execution of its data-centric strategy. All national banks of the eurozone ingest their KPIs into SPACE.
More than 1000 data scientists and statisticians working in parallel to create reports that build the foundation of ECB’s monetary policy.
Hence, SPACE is the most important statistical platform in the eurozone. Ultra Tendency is 100% responsible for the overall architecture, implementation and testing of SPACE. The migration of the 96 business processes, operations, and maintenance of SPACE will be done jointly with T-Systems. SPACE is based on open-source technologies like HBase, Kafka, Spark, and Kubernetes.
